Glycerin or glycerol is a three-hydroxyl alcohol. Glycerin is a transparent, colorless, odorless, sweet, and non-toxic liquid. This substance absorbs moisture slowly, when exposed to air.

• Glycerol is used to make nitroglycerin, which is the main substance in production of explosives.
• It is also used in agriculture, rubber, fuels, disinfectants, paints, textiles, surface coatings, paper/printing industries, plastics, and daily chemicals.
